NASA shares last image by spaceship that crashed into Saturn

NASA has shared the final image taken by the Cassini spacecraft before it plunged into Saturn's atmosphere, ending its 20-year mission. Built in the early 1990s, the $3.9-billion spacecraft had a 1-megapixel camera, with which it took over 4,50,000 images of Saturn's rings and moons.

The very last images NASA’s Cassini spacecraft took before it crashed Friday are some of its most meaningful. The image here shows the site of atmospheric entry, taken at 6,34,000 kilometres from Saturn. This will probably be remembered as the most famous image from the Cassini mission. It’s a picture of Earth, as seen from the dark side of Saturn.
